Pack 94 Forums Frequently Asked Questions: What's a Forum? An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. This is not a "Chat Room" or "Instant Messaging" -- responses to posts generally won't be posted in "real time". Instead, this is an opportunity to have the entire Pack 94 community read and comment on topics meaningful to them at their leisure. How does it work? You can join Pack 94's forums using your Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo!, Google+ or many other online accounts. Once you join, you can start new conversations in any of the existing categories and reply to other members posts. Click the "Login" button to get started. How do we have a conversation? Each new discussion topic or question posted begins a new "thread". That thread will grow as member reply or discuss or ask more questions. When reading a post, you'll see a large open box at the bottom of the thread. Simply type in your response and click the "Reply" button. Your reply will be posted at the bottom of the thread for other members to review and reply. If you're starting a new thread, please make sure a similar thread doesn't already exist. Also be sure to use a descriptive title so that members will know immediately know exactly what the discussion topic is. Why would we use these forums? Well, sometimes you might have a question and you're not exactly sure who might have the answer. Sometimes, you might want to get a few different opinions on a particular topic. Sometimes, you may have such a great idea that you just need to share it with other Pack 94 families. Forums are a great way to get ideas for meetings, events and crafts. They're also fantastic for getting ideas on how to meet requirements for rank achievements, electives and belt loop requirements. Not sure where a patch goes? Just ask! Not sure what to bring on an outing? Just ask! Are there any rules we should know about? Sure, but most of them are common sense...
