Cub Scout Pack 94

Pack 94 Forums Frequently Asked Questions:

What's a Forum?

An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.  This is not a "Chat Room" or "Instant Messaging" -- responses to posts generally won't be posted in "real time".  Instead, this is an opportunity to have the entire Pack 94 community read and comment on topics meaningful to them at their leisure.

How does it work?

You can join Pack 94's forums using your Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo!, Google+ or many other online accounts.  Once you join, you can start new conversations in any of the existing categories and reply to other members posts.  Click the "Login" button to get started.

How do we have a conversation?

Each new discussion topic or question posted begins a new "thread".  That thread will grow as member reply or discuss or ask more questions.  When reading a post, you'll see a large open box at the bottom of the thread.  Simply type in your response and click the "Reply" button.  Your reply will be posted at the bottom of the thread for other members to review and reply.

If you're starting a new thread, please make sure a similar thread doesn't already exist.  Also be sure to use a descriptive title so that members will know immediately know exactly what the discussion topic is.

Why would we use these forums?

Well, sometimes you might have a question and you're not exactly sure who might have the answer.  Sometimes, you might want to get a few different opinions on a particular topic.  Sometimes, you may have such a great idea that you just need to share it with other Pack 94 families.  Forums are a great way to get ideas for meetings, events and crafts.  They're also fantastic for getting ideas on how to meet requirements for rank achievements, electives and belt loop requirements.  Not sure where a patch goes?  Just ask!  Not sure what to bring on an outing?  Just ask!

Are there any rules we should know about?

Sure, but most of them are common sense...

  • Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum and topic descriptions before posting.
  • Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to banning.
  • Posting generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to banning.  This is a Cub Scout site for goodness sake!
  • Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.  Also refrain from posting personal information or photos belonging to you or anyone else.
  • Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic.
  • Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance.
  • Pack 94 reserve the right to edit, remove or queue any post at any time.
